sling sling what would u guys do?

hey guys. well i used a tire gel on my tires the other day. normally i dont get slinging at all but i guess i put too much on. i didnt ntice the sling till 4 days later when i washed it. the sling stayed on even after the wash. i tried some qd but all that did was streak it and made for some heavy haziness. i wanna know how YOU GUYS WOULD GO BY IT! i know all thats really needed is to probably use some bug and tar remover but i want to know how u crazy car phreax would go by it... would u detail it all over again or just follow the simplest way?

To start with I would buff the tires to keep from getting sling. Let the gel dry for a bit then buff what is left with a towel. If you cannot get the sling off the car bug and tar remover will work, also dawn dish soap will also but then you have to re-protect those areas.

Bold and Bright Tire Dressing from Poorboys is Awesome!! NO SLING. I usually apply in the evening and drive the next morning with no problems. I have not gotten sling since the day I started using it.

I like it so much I have a gallon of it coming on the 21st. :hah

What kind of QD spray did you use? I would suggest one with cleaners into it, as it will break surface contaminats down easier. If that doesn`t work, ditch that tire stuff for sure, dawn wash or use a paint cleaner, then reprotect from there.

I use the gel tire dressings often and haven`t had a problem with sling as long as you make sure to buff excess product off after you let is set for a while.

the last time the BMW dealer had my car, they put some glossy tire dressing on, and it was slinging on my car by the time i got home.. what i did was first i cleaned the tire and got all the dressing off, then i reapplyed BnB, and it took care of the job.

to tell the truth, i wasnt even aware that it was sling until a finally figured it out. this whole time, ive been using BnB, and i`ve had absolutely no issues with sling. thats why this problem seemed to be so odd to me at first. i guess us BnB users dont really appreaciate that BnB doesnt sling at all. thanks poorboy!

It sounds like Steve or Ranney needs to sell the BMW dealer a 5 gallon container of BNB!
