    Plastic Windows

I have a neighbor that just brought this Jeep for her daughter. I do her cars and she asked me about protection and cleaning the windows on a weekly bases.
I use Novus as a scratch remover and polish. How every I have only detailed these type of windows never had one that I want to just clean.

I`m wondering can I use Stoners as window cleaner here?

Also for protection since this is an outside car should I put a sealant on?
I`m trying to help cut down on the yellowing that you see on these types of windows.

    Thanks

I have used the plexus as well and its good stuff, the reason I started using Novus is that I can get it locally.

I`m looking for a Stoners/Windex sort of application for daily use and a protection product like a sealant application.

Hey man, I have a Jeep wrangler Sport which is very simular to hers. I find the paint on it very nice. and easy to care for. The windows are really really hard to care for. First it looks like it might be used but when she takes the top down, First clean the top with a high quality cleaner. I will find the one i have later. If she puts it down when wet( right after washing) it will start to mold and get black spores that wont show up for a while. and are close to impossible to get off. I uses strait simple greeen. SHe need a High quality glass MF. the swirls will show up very much. she needs to buy a bag u roll the side windows up in or they will stract the mess out of them. I dont know if she understands but they are very fragel. and are VERY expensive to replace...... I tired SSR1 with the PC and took some out of the windows. But after u get the wax on the actually cloth it will never come off it seems. Then i put a coat of Exp on it. couldnt tell much. I used to put pledge on the windows but all that did temporally fill in small scratches. Well i dont know if i really help. But pledge (yes like the furniture cleaner) works the best. and tell her she will be glad she got the rag top b/c when she sees the insurance bill she wont want to hurt her head when she goes throght the roof. LOL i wish i was kidding. I proabbly types jibberish but i hoped i helped

    Re: Plastic Windows

You could try Plexus, Novus #1 or Meguiars #10.

    Re: Plastic Windows

I have used Plexus and Meguiars #10 Clear Plastic Polish.
The #10 is a mild polish as well as a cleaner, so it will remove some minor scratches.
Both products will leave a coating on the plastic which helps keep it from drying out.

A cleaner wax/glaze works great. Rubb one spot then dry/polish it off to see the difference. I`ve even used tired dressing(silicone based and as a temporary solution only).
