    Porsche Cayenne turbo detail

did this 2004 cayenne twin turbo for a client. sorry about the lighting, but in the pics you can tell it was overcast, and i started around 3, so it just kept getting darker and darker...

    process was:
    interior:
    1) oxi clean on mats
    2) 303 on leather/dash/doors
    3) 1z cockpit premium on center console
    4) 1z glass cleaner on all glass

    exterior:
    1) mothers gold wash extra strength
    2) intensive polish via rotary @ 1500 w/ sonus cutting pad (spot treat scratches)
    3) final polish II via rotary @ 1500 w/ sonus green pad (spot treat buffer swirls/marring from intensive polish)
    4) aio via rotary @ 1500 with sonus green pad (entire car)
    5) menzerna fmj by hand
    6) 303 on trim, wheels and wheel wells
    7) meguiars hot shine on tires

    Pictures
    Befores:

this is my first time using a rotary on a customers car... i had a couple of months to practice with one and thought i was ready.. what do you think? there are no swirls at all... no proper lighting (cant ya tell) to take pictures of swirl free finish.. sorry

Looks great and you used alot of high-end products on this vehicle. Too bad about the lighting . Did you have to finish up in the garage? Hope you got paid well.

Hawaiianelement: thanks.. yeah i had to finish up in the garage cause the lighting sucked... id say i got payed pretty well.. i mean after all, he tipped me 25 bucks...

DOC: it did rain the next day.. sucks right? well he wasnt drivin it cause he went on a business trip, so hopefully the menzerna fmj will protect it, and it will still be lookin good when he gets back.

    Re: Porsche Cayenne turbo detail

How long did the entire take? Also how long did it take for the paint alone for you had alot of steps on it, looks great! Also did you find that 303 did not stay in the wheel wells and streaked?

    Re: Porsche Cayenne turbo detail

    Question?

Why did you use a rotary on the first 3 steps? That is a new car and unless it was really abused I just had to wonder?

The car looks great to bad about the lighting it would have looked allot better!

    Re: Porsche Cayenne turbo detail

i did not do the whole car with 3 steps, if you read the process it states that i used the IP and FP to spot treat scratches, not the whole car. i used aio for the whole car.

    Beemerboy: thanks for the compliments
AZ Ferrari Man: the entire detail took between 6 hours.. but i was working on and off with it. the paint alone took probaby 45minutes - 1 hour. i havent had any problems with 303 yet, but ive heard about others having it...
