cleaning my Pinnacle Cotton Chenille Wash Mitt

I bought the mitt from PAC and it seems to attact and lock in little dirt particles that wont even come out when i use dawn and scrub by hand. Can anyone give me some good tips on how to get this mitt nice and clean again?

Mine has the black specs in it too....they were there when the item was still packaged.

Not sure exactly what it is, but I`m pretty confident it is normal, and is probably some kind of cotton by product.

If you see the black spots, you might want to have the pad
sent back. I recall reading somewhere that those spots may
actually be cotton seeds, and while they are claimed not
to scratch paint, the company selling them DID offer to
take them back for an exchange.

No its definitely specs of dirt from washing my car because the mitt was perfectly clean before i started using it. I just want the mitt to be clean enough to use on my car (im so demanding! lol). Im sure some other people have the mitt or a similar product here that could give me some insight.
