Sugar babies

My new wife gave me a call today. She has a fondness for sweets and, as sweet as she is, she managed to get a sugar baby on the passenger seat, in between the bottom and the seat back. She said it was kind of sticky. I told her I would look at it this evening after work. Any suggestions as to how to clean this up? Thanks.

Warm water has always worked for me. No soap, just a cloth pretty well dampened with warm water. Soak the area by holding the damp cloth against the stain, then blot the residue with a clean dry cloth. You may need to do it several times, but it has never failed me.
I don`t rub the area at all because I was afraid that would push the sugar deeper into the upholstery/carpet.

:yeah I had the same thing happen but with one of those chocolate mints. If its globbed up in a little pile use a putty knife to lift off as much as you can . This happen on the carpet so it was and easy clean up .
Then follow what Charles suggested

Thanks for the tip guys. I think I got it all out, but it was getting dark by the time I got to it, plus it is a dark stain on dark material. I asked the wife to check it this morning, but haven`t heard from her yet.

That was going to be my first question is what is the material, leather, cloth?

Sticky stuff like that or chocolate - ice it - get it hard (heheheheheh - :lol) - and it will lose it`s "stickiness" and come off.

Back in my younger day I worked in a retail clothing store. Being the only guy there, I got to clean messes up. We had some stuff that you would spray on (in my case) gum. It would get it hard and brittle and it would come up. Is this sort of stuff safe for auto use ya think??

I used to work at a movie theater in high school and we probably had the same stuff. It seemed almost like it froze the gum and then you could practically pick it up off of the floor. Can`t for the life of me remember what it was called....

you could use that air in a can and turn it upside down (so the cold stuff sprays out -) but no idea if that residue of what it is will stain as well??
