What to clean alcantara

or how ever its spelled. my dad came over to my house today to give a look see to how my new accord came out and he wants me to do his 2001.5 audi s4 with the blue alcantara and leather interior.

how to clean that blue stuff im wondering

The first thing you need to do with an S4 is run most of the fuel out of the tank before you even start on it. If you need help, call me. Not for the detail, for getting rid of the gas.

It was a joke man! It has nothing to do with the detailing. I just would like to drive the car.
Do you have any idea how much fun it could be to drive an S4 for a tankful of gas?
It is one fine, fun automobile, or so I have been told.

i know how fun it is to drive. i used to own it when i was in real estate. its fun but it was never as fun as my 2001 integra type R that car was a blast to drive. no body role what so ever with the stock suspension and jdm rear sway bar.

i had the garrett chip it in for 65 more wheel hp and tq. i took the ecu out and put it back to stock b caus my dad did not want it for some strange reason.

Water:Woolite (6:1) and a microfiber towel to agitate.

To protect, use 303 fabric protectant.

The page mentions approved products to use on Alcantara but never mentions the names of the actual products. Did you find any??

True, but it still seems to be an unanswered question.

I have no answer, but it might be worthwhile to remember that Alcantara "Leather" is not really leather.
It is some type of treated textile and probably won`t be too receptive to a leather treatment product.

Damp cloth, it`s recommended to be white terry cloth so there is no color transfer, lightly agitate material.

Cleaners should not be used unless absolutely necessary and while suede can be treated with a protectant Alcantara should not. Getting Alcantara too wet can cause problems with the fibers as it`s not a natural material.
