First Time Detailing With a PC

Just got through with my first detailing attempt with a PC. I`m really satisfied with the results but it`s threatening rain so I`ve got zero sunshine to work with.

    I used NXT shampoo
    CM claybar
    NXT shampoo again
SSR2.5 on LC 6" cupped yellow pad and PC at 4
FPII on a LC 7.5" advanced orange pad and PC at 4
VM on a LC 6" white pad on half, other half with terry applicator
    EX-P 2 layers - 1st with an LC 6" grey pad and 2nd by-hand with a with foam applicator

The VM & EX-P go on so easy I thought I`d try both ways & found no real difference.

The pics don`t really do it justice `cause it`s so cloudy but the surface is slick, the gloss is excellent and, considering it`s silver metallic, the depth in pretty decent.

    Comments & suggestions are appreciated

would`ve been better if I had some sun but it`s OK. You can see a bit of the trees in the rear view mirror`s reflection .... cool

Yeah yeah yeah, I hear `ya. Believe me I was careful. It was too tempting to pass up & I wanted to see if I could see the second hand and you can almost read the day & date.

Sure looks good from here! Nice work!

Honda silver paint is hard to give some "POP"................ you did a nice job of doing that!

    Hey trk128, thanks

The rims are Acura TSX, same offset as 7th gen. I preferred `em to Honda`s because the 7 open spaces don`t have the beveled edge between the spokes, leaving the space more open.

    Hi Boss,

I was very careful & I chose the roof over the hood because I knew it would never stay on the hood. Same goes for the PB products, cleaned with a MF towel first & placed gently where they would not move.

Hi Hawaiianelement & thanks. I couldn`t go wrong doing my homework at DC.

I`ll enjoy "sitting back" for a while ......... until I do my girlfriend`s `02 Accord sedan, my Dad`s Mercury battlewagon, my sister`s Cutlass & I`m sure there`ll be more so yes, tonight, I`m sitting back.
