Cleaning glass with newspaper...

Newspaper will work great. The only drawback is it leaves your hands pretty nasty. I use microfiber now. Not better results, but cleaner hands.

I`ve always used newspaper & tolerated the dirty hands I was left with. I assumed the streak-free polishing was being done by the newspaper itself which is a bit coarse and not the ink.

If you tried to clean with laser printer paper, either with printing or blank, you`d find the polished surfaces of the paper just push the glass cleaning solution around so it must be the coarse quality of the newspaper, right?

Recently, the Buffalo News changed over to new presses that require better quality paper and it cannot be used to clean glass. If I use my local town newspaper (old-style paper) I still get excellent results .... and dirty hands.

The difference is the quality of the paper, not the ink on the paper.
