I think that`s caused by power washing. The hacks at our dealership wash the cars outside in the sun and power wash to rinse and just let it dry. Any left over soap gets baked into the paint. I`ve also seen a company that goes to dealerships and just powerwashes soap then the blasts it off again with water. Again, they sit baking in the sun to dry.

Nice work Clean Dean,
I understand the chemical etching but how does a new car have paint chips? It must have been transported on a truck that drove through a sandstorm or something. And why did your client buy that particular one if it had issues? If it was a Jeep dealer, I`m sure there were probably others to choose from.
I`ve been busy but I`ll try to make some time.
denverdetail... The owner of the car told me it was the only Black Wrangler Sahara within 250 miles of NJ. Supposedly this is the last year of the Sahara, and black is in demand. He has own 4 Jeep Wranglers in the past and is a Wrangler enthusiast.

Very nice. I`ve noticed that not only are you a great detailer but your photography skills are excellent also. You always seem to capture just the right angles to do your work the right amount of justice. What kind of camera do you use?

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC 707, and a U-30. I use them both when photographing cars. I work for a dealer that photographs with a 1.3 megapixel U-20, and his pics blow mine away. He photograph a car in/out with get detail in 5 minutes everytime.

Most people would just leave it or wax over problems like that.
