    CarPro Hydro 2 Questions...

Just started researching this product and am not quite sure what it does.

From what I`ve read it appears to be a synthetic LSP. If that`s the case and it supposedly lasts up to three months, how does it differ from any other synthetic LSP? The only difference I can find is the application process.

Your thoughts and guidance would be much appreciated by this lost soul.

    Best regards,
    Tom

It`s about 200x faster to apply. And leaves the surface very slick and glossy.

It also covers every surface of your car. It works its way into door jams, trim, the wiper cowl, you can do your wheels and wells with it, etc. It really is a great product, but you have to follow dilution ratios (I like to mix it a bit lighter than suggested just to further avoid streaking), absolutely NO sun, and have really high water pressure or a power washer. I`ve ran my wife`s car to the coin op car wash at night just to use it.

These guys are dead on. It`s a sealant that is a ton Easier and quicker to apply than the traditional stuff. It leaves a veary slick and glossy finish. I don`t have any durability info for you. But I can say that even if it only lasts a month it is still going to be one of my go to products. It`s just that good.

Also the beading, and sheeting are intense.

I put it on a car that lives outside over 2 months ago just to give it a try. (Used way too much, BTW). It is still going strong - much to my surprise!

Hydro2 works great to add protection in-between emblems or hard to reach areas if you don`t decide to use it all over the vehicle.

To me the ease of application (spray on, hose off) is offset by the difficulty of application (use too much/too hot get streaks)...

The big benefit is the ability of it to migrate everywhere - emblems, grill, under door handles, into mirror housing, etc..

The look and water beading is great as well...

Thank you all for the guidance.

I`m about to use Duragloss 105 for the first time. Do I apply the Hydro 2 on top of it or is that overkill?

    Best,
    Tom

You can. I am not sure if "bad reactions" are the reasons that some people get streaks (we are investigating) but as long as the 105 is cured, go for it. Worst case is you get streaking and report it back here.

I asked the very same question about topping Dur 105 to Avi from CarPro a while back and here was his reply:

    Re: CarPro Hydro 2 Questions...

Has anyone tried Hydro 2 on anything that had a matte or satin finish. I have a Camaro 1LE with the flat black wrapped hood I didn`t know if it would hurt it put crazy shine on it. I am assuming it will make it sorta shiny wet looking I don`t mind that. I know they say don`t wax it but sealants are supposed to be ok. I have tried few spray detailers and spray sealants and they can leave it a bit streaky spotty but doesn`t look bad and usually fades in after fed days.

Great product! Easy application and awesome results! It`s a bit pricey but once you try it out it`s a great product to have in your arsenal
