    Hy,

A regular washing detergent without softeners will work just fine. Woolite will work.

I do not think there is not anything really special about Woolite any more. If you notice there is now a "delicate" version. It claims it does not have harsh additives but now many soaps have "free" variations.

I just use Arm&Hammer with about a quarter cup of "cleaning" grade hi agar added after the the washer fills with water.

No need to wash by hand. Throw in the washing machine on hot/cold with Woolite, MF detergent, or any free and clear store bought detergent. When I have used the MF for polish/wax removal, I also like to throw a capful of APC in the wash. Usually a half scoop of oxyclean also. Most times I also use the autosoak feature. I use a double rinse just to make sure everything gets flushed out. Then dry on low.

All free and clear, 1/4 of white vinegar for final rinse, air setting for dryer, (no dryer sheets).

If you are using a "free" detergent, I would recommend going doing two rinses and adding a 1/4 to 1/2 cup of vinegar to the second rinse. However, if you are using a dedicated microfiber detergent, like BLACKFIRE`s, then their is no need.

The wife does cloth diapers for our little ones, and she`s obsessive about keeping them in good condition (they`re microfiber). So I usually steal some of her Rockin` Green Cloth Diaper Detergent.
