Garry Dean Wash Method (perfect wash)?

    HI all,

just wondering about the garry dean perfect wash , has anybody tried this method, is it effective as the traditional wash method?

using microfiber cloths instead of a wash mitt and no grit guard?

nice glad to hear that, i live in a condo, but I would just go to the coin wash pre put the soap and the bucket and rinse off the dirt, then go over with 1 microfiber towel for one panel, then another, then rinse and dry .

I use his wash method for rinseless washes but not for traditional two bucket washes.

Heard of this method, this post got me to finally watch the "how to" video. Makes sense, may give it a try.

Been using it on and off for last 2 years. I use a sprayer to presoak the panel before I wipe tho

The only real difference again in this method is one bucket with soaked wash media. The method claims to save water but you can essentially do the same with a two bucket method. The key to saving water is using a pressure washer. I just do not like washing with microfiber towels even with rinseless methods. T

There is a more perfect method to leave the suds on the car and then wash and also wash in smaller areas but really there is no perfect method. That is marketing and promotion on youtube.

You should adjust the wash process to the condition of the car rather than focus on one particular aspect. If you do not wash it well, you will just scratch it up drying it but the perfect drying method has not been patented.

Having clean wash media is the key. Its questionable that wiping wash media across a grit guard removes all the dirt. I suspect it doesn`t, but gets the biggest particles...which begs the question...is that good enough?

By using fresh wash media that variable is eliminated. Frankly for me its more about having as much dirt eliminated before ever touching the paint, and that makes rinseless and waterless my second and third choices because to eliminate as much dirt as possible you need high pressure and a good soaking foam or citrus pre-soak that has a long dwell time.

Obviously rinseless and waterless work but you have to have perfectly clean wash media because you`re wiping across loosened dirt that is still there and hasn`t been removed using high pressure or foaming.

yeah you are right, he tries to promote his products too much, but overall his method is pretty good.
