nice thread. I don`t have near the experience of the rest of you guys but my two cents would be

Dress the part, after all we are in the appearance business. Lock into your flow state when working.

Re: One of the most important parts of being a professional...

I`d say always stay calm and collected. If I walk into a shop and the owner looks highly stressed and is pulling his hair out, I think he has too much on his plate and I`ll go somewhere else. This includes on the phone. If I call a shop and the person is interrupting our convo to bark orders at someone, it doesn`t look organized. I don`t like when someone sounds too laid back either, so I think there`s a happy professional medium. First impressions are so important.

Dress to impress. Let`s face it, first impressions last the longest.

Never try to overwhelm the customer. I have a salesman at my shop that talks so fast and gets so worked up that people quickly get lost. Have literally watched people walk in knowing what they want and walk away confused and never seen again. The customer is always right!

The customer is always right as long as they agree with EVERYTHING I say and do

I think having a catchy business name is important. It`s even a good idea to have one that will make the viewer smile/chuckle. Having said that I think these guys went a little overboard IMO

    1. Don`t rush
    2. Keep it simple
    3. Don`t overwhelmed or try to over educate your customers
    4. New products should be used on your own car first
    5. Like others said, always stay calm and collected
    6. Smile

Learn how to clean windows first. 20 hours of paint correction means nothing if the front windshield has streaks.

It is better to keep your mouth closed and be thought the fool than to open it up and remove all shadow of doubt.
