Would you use this dry wash product on a Lamborghini?

Do you think waterless is a preferred alternative to a wash with water and a high quality bodywork shampoo? I noticed Pinnacle also makes a waterless product (~4 gallons for $25).

When would you use that instead of the bodywork shampoo? Would I want to use that instead of washing my car if its been lightly driven for a couple weeks and covered with dust and light dirt? I cringe at that thought, but maybe I`m wrong?

I`ve used waterless wash products from Pinnacle, Ultima and Poorboy`s World and all three are top notch. All three are safe to use on a lightly dusted vehicle. California is in a drought and if it weren`t for these waterless products I`d be riding around with a dirty car. The trick to making sure you don`t scratch the paint is to use several MF towels. I use about 8 of them on a mid-size car. There are plenty of useful how-to threads around here on how to properly utilize a waterless wash.

I too am in Cali, in So Cal. Spot on, draught has killed trying to wash your car the old way. Theres bays and places, but where I live I can`t use a hose wash against area laws.... So waterless and rinseless for me always!

Yes and even bucket washing causes marring over time. You can`t get around that part, but what you can do is practice safe removal techniques and processes, and light polish the car a few times a year, that`s what I`ve been doing on my cars for years...I`d bet that I`ve bucket washed my cars less than five times in the last several years

I personally would only use 2 bucket wash method when dealing with a car that cost more than some peoples house. With a car like this you just have to use the known quality products that you "know" wont scratch the paint.

If it is any type of "film", I would go with a traditional wash just to be safe.

When pollen season comes full force and the Lambo gets covered in pollen, get some of the guys to use that product they are crazy about. I am willing to bet it will mar the paint. Wait, who am I kidding? It`s not like any of these cars leave their garages 95% of the time. Lol.

You would be surprised how many are daily drivers or are nothing more than track toys.

I`m not sure, I need to see exactly what it does and some of the chemicals in it. That said here is the original product and then theirs...

Here are the towels I use, From left to right. Basically it goes from a lower GSM to a Higher GSM, in lamens terms it means least plush to most plush. He`s selling stuff like the light blue as high end, this is not! That is a work towel and WILL scratch your paint with a waterless wash and fine debris. On top of that he`s selling them for around what we pay for good quality 550+ towels.

I`ve used chemical guys waterless products for years on a forty year old show car. Never scratched it`s all about the micro fiber towels and constant folding of the towels use only two towels and your done in no time. As to this product called Chadwick. It`s another hype product that`s all about you buying the product in kits,than bulk. Company has no customer service skills. Beware. Been there done that.

Tons = NOT GOOD
of = bad
fillers = HIDES THE SCRATCHES THAT THE PRODUCT WILL ABSOLUTELY CAUSE YOU TO PUT IN YOUR PAINT


Plenty of products have fillers. Well... it could be argued (on a microscopic level) that ALL have fillers to some degree. But fillers are typically not what you want to make your paint look good. What you WANT is nice, corrected, slick, swirl free paint.

Dealerships and body shops tend to use rotaries and filler based products, working on a `time is money` and `quicker the better` platform. They`ll spend 2~3 hours for a Exclusive, Super, Total, Fantastical, We Do It All, detail that only cost $195, and is ON SALE, today only, for $149.95. Using some product with a wool pad (or hopefully a foam one) that`s loaded with fillers.

You`ll walk up and think, holy Jesus... this looks good. Then you wash it and it doesn`t look so good. Then you wash it again. Suddenly you`ll see buffer trails and holograms all over the place, all intertwined with swirls that were never removed.

Corrected a CPO 3 Series a while back, in black no less. Was a hologram, swirl filled mess. Had the photos (and a ton more) in my AGO gallery. Just can`t get to that gallery these days.

Gobble, I tried Triple Play and was completely unimpressed! All these people who rave about it must have no clue what other products are out there. I am staying with Optimum No Rinse. I have used it for years with zero issues. I also use it diluted with water as my finishing detail spray.
