    CarPro Eraser question...

First, this is all Todd`s fault...him and his "dam" 15% sales.

Bought the CP Eraser for the first time and thought I knew what to do with it. Not so much now.

My understanding is that it can be used to strip the old wax off. I plan on using Sonax Perfect Finish to clear up some minor scratches and then finish with BF Wet Diamond AFPP or/and BF BlackICE.

Do I use CP Eraser after washing to strip off the old wax and then again after the Sonax and before the BF?

Sorry for such a basic question.

    Thanks,
    Tom

Tom, the 100% exact, definitive answer is... it depends...

IF the wax has been recently applied, then it could serve some benefit to wiping the paint down PRIOR to polishing as freshly applied waxes can have a negative effect during polishing.

IN MOST CASES, the wax or sealant will not have a significant (or even noticable) impact on polishing.

In either case you would wipe the paint down after polishing IF your goals are to insure the paint is perfect or to ensure a clean surface for bonding.

I`m glad you like the sales.

    Todd,

This is a 100% exact, definitive, unequivocal response... Thank you!

I see no harm then, only benefit, in using CP Eraser prior to polishing.

Is using BF BlaceICE over BF AFPP overkill?

    Thanks,
    Tom
