What`s a safe way to strip a sealant from your car`s finish before applying a different sealant?

I normallly use 3M Prepsol for all stripping of sealant/wax/silicones. It`s the standard in bodyshops and has always worked for me.

What`s in YOUR garage? 997 Carrera S.
Klasse AIO seems to work for me. Whether or not it would strip all sealants, I have no idea. I have heard that Zaino is not only very durable, but it is also somewhat difficult to remove.Originally posted by ben54

IMO, the AIO is an amazing product for prepping the paint and putting down a good base for any topper, wax or sealant. Chances are that the paint cleaner recommended by the manufacturer of the sealant you plan to use would do the job, also.
About the only thing AIO doesn`t do is remove swirls. At least not for me. Meg`s #9 seems to do that, though.
Typical application: Meg`s #9, Klasse AIO, 4 Star UPP.

:yeah .......or any professional body shop wax and grease remover or paint prep cleaner. I`ve been using PPG products for years so I use PPG 330 or 440. Auto Zone carries a cheap one but I think they are all the pretty much the same and would DEFINITELY take sealant off. Hell...they just dammed near take skin off .............. strong stuff.Originally posted by Deanski

Dream big and be willing to do the work to get there.
Good ol` isopropyl alcohol removes Klasse SG. I think I read that I worked when other products failed
Treat it like it`s the only one in the world.
most chemical paint cleaners like AIO or PP should work. or like Bill D wrote, isopropyl alcohol will work.

Thanks for the advice, I have PP and AOI. I may also try a bodyshop grade cleaner as suggested.
Just get you a body prep cleaner solvent. Thats all you need, it removes all waxes and sealants from the body of the car.
"If I can`t make it shine, it doesn`t shine." Gallop`s detailing waxes all competion."
Sorry to highjack this thread, but could you put a cup of isopropyl alchohol in your wash bucket with an ounce of car wash and accomplish the same thing??
