From my experience SSR3 is more abrasive.
It will remove wetsanding scratches with ease.
It is almost more of a compound so you will probably have a haze after using it ... then will need to restore the shine with DACP or my favorite SSR2 followed with SSR1.
I have also found that SSR3 workes better with a rotary.
My .02 ... lets hear what the rest of you think!

SSR 2 did for me what DACP wouldn`t do. With a rotary and a Meg`s cutting pad, I was able to polish out 2000 sanding marks to a ready to was finish.

SSR3 has more bite -

look for SSR2.5 , which is coming soon as an easier to use DACP..
Hmm I have a order now for SSR1 and SSR2 and SSR3 what can I use the SSR3 for how much more abrasive then DACP is it.. I guess I just want it in my arsonal but still.

I"ve never used DACP. SSR3 is great w/the rotary on 2k or 1.5k sanding marks. I use it with the rotary followed by SSR2 and then PP. Even at my very amatuerish skill level I can touch up a paint chip, sand it flat and blend it in with the SSR`s and PP. It`s a good feeling
Dream big and be willing to do the work to get there.
DACP is not meant for use with a Rotary (hence Dual Action in the name ) and it cannot remove wetsanding marks. It`s really a strong swirl remover, and nothing else. If you want to stick with Meguiar`s, you need to move up to Compound Power Cleaner or Diamond Cut Cleaner. Most products which can remove sanding marks need to be followed up with a milder abrasive, in my experience. I use Heavy Cut Cleaner followed by DACP, in my case.
I think the dual action is POLISHING and CLEANING. The instructions on the bottle CLEARLY explain using it with a DA and ROTARY. As far as polishing out the sanding marks, as long as you don`t mind a few applications, it WILL remove the marks and leave a ready to wax finish if done with a rotary (I know cause I have done it), however the SSR2 made quick work of the same and left a mirror that was ready for wax.Originally posted by 2wheelsx2

the Dual Action referes to the Cleaner/Polish - Clean Dean uses it with a rotary all the time -
I know Meg`s has been working on a specific abrasive for DA`s like the PC but don`t know if they have announced it.

Meguiars Product Guide also states DCAP can be used by ... Hand, Orbital, D/A Polisher, Rotary.
I have used it with a rotary as well as a PC ... it cleans well and has some swirl removing capabilities.

right now I got SSR1-2-3 in my baskert along with Menzerna FP as I really like the finish it leaves after DACP which I dont know SSR1 will give me there for im going to try both.
