    High temps on products

With the record heat this summer, I was curious- what types of products are sensitive to heat?

I know paste waxes are- mine were trying to melt before I put them in my basement.

Any product can be heat sensitive (keeping in mind that heat is a relative term). Through the magic of science we know that heat causes molecules to move around at faster rates, which means they tend to expand. This can allow air to enter typically sealed bottles through the threads (I doubt the heat in your garage is enough to allow this, but it is food for thought).

Some products, which are prone to separation, my separate a little quicker. Shake well!

Paste waxes, as you noted, are most likely to be affected at lower increases in temperatures. Store them in the shade (or in the house) and you will be fine.

As a professional detailer (in Florida) I kept many products in the oven that was my car and never had any issues with them becoming heat soaked at affecting performance (minus paste waxes).
