    Chemical Guys Lava

Anyone see this new product from CG? Kinda confused as to what it really is...wax, glaze, sealant?

I wonder how it compares to Blacklight or EZ Creme ???

Probably, like BlackLight, all of the above - but in paste version.

It is probably a paste wax with fillers. That what it sounds like though. I wish CG would be a little more clear on some of their products.

Interesting. Wonder how much it is or is going to be. If it`s reasonable, I`ll try it.

Depends on what you look for in silver. I like to candy coat silver - CG BL doesn`t do that, really. If you want a deep & reflective, then yes. It is a matter of what looks good to you. Either way, more than OK.

Since he mentions fighting off all of the elements, I wonder how durable it is. The paint looked pretty good before the wax, I`m not sure the wax made a difference. That said, I wouldn`t mind trying it.

With a 300 degree Temp tolerance it sounds more like a sealant. But it looked almost buttery.... I`ll continue to watch this as well.

    Looks like an interesting product.

I saw a charger in that color at the tampa bay auto show and it was the nicest red I have ever seen on a car.

I thought the car looked better before the Lava. It seemed to have more shine before.

    mjlinane,
what do you use for creating a candy coat on silver?
I have a silver car myself and love that effect as well!
