    Paint chips

I want to star offering this service to clients, what is the best way to repair paint chips? It would be economical to order a Dr. Color chip for every client, unless I have them pre order and bring it with them.

How successful is wet sanding on chips? Feather out the edges and fill with a blob of paint. Then is the Lanka or buffer and compound to level the blob.

What do you do and is this something that you pros offer?

dr c for every car colour out there could get real expensive real fast. People also tend to have unrealistic expectations if they are paying for a service so you need to prepare them beforehand. I`d let them bring in a dealer pen and work it into your hourly rate.

I also don`t think it`s something that can be done as part of a one step since it takes time for the stuff to dry to the point where you can work on it.

Sorry these points aren`t very much help but at least I`ve helped you bump your post...

It`s not really a service that most offer. Most of the ones that do offer it have the client bring in their own paint. As embolism said expectations can be too high, too time consuming and no one is going to want to pay for that time so it can be a money looser. Most chips to get it to where you can fill the chip and work it back level take at least two or three applications of paint.

I`ve heard of people getting good results with Dr colorchip, but imo that is something they should do on their own. I may actually try it myself.

Remember it hides the chip does not fill it. Big difference but it all dependeds on what your looking to do.
