    1st Side Job of 04

Heres some pics of my first side job of 04.
It`s a 97 S-10 with 288,000 miles!!! The motor is a rebuild but the body and int. sure showed the 288k. I didnt go as full tilt on the ext. as I had wished but time and the cost came into play. So I did the best I could with it.

    After

    Here is an after pic.
    I used AM`s BC-1 with a yellow wool first.
Then I went to AM`s new swirl remover (or cream i forget what they call it) with a green foam pad.
Finally I finished it off with some AM`s E-Z Paste.
I would have liked to do another step before the swirl remover but thats life I guess.

    some int.

The int. was pretty dusty and dirty. I think it was a former work truck. The guy I did the detail for bought it for $500 and had the motor for it from another vehicle.

On the int. I used AM`s Special Cleaner and then followed it with their Super Dress It.

    a little dirty

She was full of rocks, dirt, sand, you name it.
About the half way point I was wondering if it was worth it or not.

    carpet after

I finished the vehicle at the dealership I work for and we use the Mytee HP100. I"m not sure what was in the tank it was either AM`s HD Clean or CAS`s Extracto Clean. I prespotted the carpets with SDI`s Red-Devil (an APC) Then hit em with a carpet brush. After that it was up to the HP100.

    just for fun

Here is a shot of the hood after the first pass with the yellow wool and the BC-1.
You couldnt tell outside or even inside under the lights but after the first pass the snowflakes on the hood stood out big time.
The final finish outside didnt look too bad thought although you could still see them.

    thanks guys

Hey Thanks for the compliments guys!!!!!!
As some of you know I work for one of the local dealerships in my area. We have been taking a pretty good beating in the Detail dept as of late and I now know how dealership detailers get a bad name. Everything needs to be done "YESTERDAY". Alot of the cars are shoved out the door without proper details (hence the dealer swirls and what not). I learned alot from these forums at DC and am grateful. As a matter of fact-----After taking countless beatings day after day, I wasnt going to take on any side work this season. After the weather broke and everyone started posting pics on DC again it encouraged me to take on that S-10. I`m really glad I did. Considering what went into it I think it came out really good.
Thanks everyone for the support and keep on posting those detail pics!!!!!!!!!!

Wow that looks great. The guy had to be very happy with the results and your work. You would never guess it has so many miles on it now. Very nice. You really brought that back to life. And the interior, super job.

Great job on both the interior and exterior.
If you don`t mind me asking...how long did it take you completely?
Did you get a good payday?
