Hey Everyone,
Just curious what products / methods you find most useful for removing bug juice from bumpers, mirrors etc...
Bumpers seem to be the biggest PITA and I am still learning.
Any input would be helpful
Thanks,
BK

Depends on the severity of the damage from bugs. Some vehicles require the services of a paint shop to remedy bug damage.
For fresh bugs I use 3M`s tar and adhesive remover.
I`ve used the Meguiar`s and like it a lot.
If the wolf howls by the light of the moon in the dark of the night...
I use turtle wax bug and tar remover, works pretty good.
I second that Turtle Wax bug and tar remover. It has worked great for me. Sometimes you have to let it sit on there a bit, but it breaks the stuff down good. I also have this yellow bug/tar removal sponge that helps scrub the debris off.
Citrus from stoners and Meguiars bug and tar remover
:yeah ......or, if it hasn`t sat for weeks before attempts to remove it I use Poorboys S&W.Originally posted by brianjake99

Dream big and be willing to do the work to get there.
Thanks for the help guys.
I appreciate it

If you can catch them before the sun bakes them on, S&W works well. The secret for me is to make sure there is a good coat of UPP (or similar product) on the car ... especially the front bumper ... It makes the removal with S&W or car wash shampoo so much easier. The problem with stronger bug and tar removers is that most of them also remove the wax or sealant.
So S&W to remove and the Final Detail to renew that slick surface.
Sorry I am so long winded today.
It`s what you learn after you know it all that counts ... John Wooden
Thanks Kim!!
That is a bit reassuring to hear. I have a couple layers of EX-P on the car.......most recently Thursday. Of course I spent Friday driving from Harrisburg to Philly and back gathering bugs as I went
:doh
I`ve been using Poorboy`s Bird Sh#t Remover for removing bug splatter. It`s a slightly stronger version of S&W. Just Spray, let soak for several seconds, then carefully wipe off.Originally posted by kimwallace

for bugs-stoners invisaglass...dont laugh it works awesome for me.
tar 3m
A glass cleaner with ammonia in it will get them off real quick or you buy just ammonia and dilute 2 to 1. I would recomend that you rewax again after but ammonia in any form seems to work really quick for me.. Again though just make sure you re-protect the area again as it can dry out the paint similiar to dawn dishwashing soap..
DISTINGUISHED DETAILING
Work and hope, but don`t hope more than you work!
