    backing plate

    Does anybody know if the Meguiars w65 backing plate will work with the Meguiars 6 in pads.

    No, that plate is for 8 inch pads. The W-64 D/A is the correct one for the PC or other D/A. If your using a 6.5" rotary pads the number is W-64. The difference between these two plates is 5/8" screw on arbor compared to a 5/16"screw in arbor.
