Unhappy White masking tape residue on rubber-Help!

Well I figured out why everyone is using the green masking tape, the white tape on rubber just sucks. After removing it, tiny particles of glue or tape are stuck to the window/door rubbers. Does anyone have a safe way to remove this residue?

I`ll second that. You`ll find it great for tar and such too. A must have in the arsenal.

This will do in a pinch. A rather messy but effective way to remove this residue that most people already have on hand is WD40. You of course want to use this product before the detail as opposed to a follow up.

I would say an adhesive remover, but I`m just getting back into things and need to find some for myself. I`ll have to find myself some of the 3M.

This works for something that you might have already, use cotton not micro fiber for the application. Goo Gone is another OTC that works wonders, same application.

I`ll try the goo gone, never thought of that. I am not close to anyone that carries the 3M line. Well I know I won`t make this mistake again!!

The 3M adhesive remover can be found in the arts & crafts area of target, walmart and the likes of those stores..even home depot. Its a pretty wildly distributed line.

The Goo Gone will do the trick in a pinch.
