    Estimate for big vehicles

I`m mainly detailing sports cars as a hobby and somebody asked me approximately how much I`d charge for his Chevrolet Avalanche.

By experience, how much more time in % do you spend on such a big vehicle in comparison to a Mustang or Corvette?

Ho, that would be for a full polish on a black truck w/ 99% correction.

Time spent will be determined by the service you are providing. One thing not to overlook is that what is not spent on paint polishing/sealing will be spent cleaning and dressing that awful expanse of trim. I`d charge extra just for it sitting in my drive, and the possibility of someone thinking it was mine.

Edit: I see you clarified a bit. Well, you also have the additional time required to pull out a ladder to reach the roof area. Since you will be polishing you will have to do some taping off of the trim area mentioned above, and IIRC there is a lot of it.

How much are you charging for the Sports Cars you normally do, and how long are you spending on them

This will help me help you better. You should be charging a flat rate pr hour

    Re: Estimate for big vehicles

Those trucks aren`t that bad to do. Tons of plastic, but that`s less painted surface to correct. The interiors are just like a 4 door Silverado..not a big prob. My biggest prob with them is the bed cover, also plastic. They make it difficult to get the roof and the rear glass is a real pain to get to. A ladder is a must. As for price, I usually get 175 for a full detail including buff and polish.
