I wanted to mention that most boat soaps contain wax. and that is what
caused the dulling on the hull. I did not mention that in the video.

Was the not-washed part submerged (i.e. out of the sun)?
I still don`t believe in grit guards.
So you`re telling me the unwashed side - the side that doesn`t have "wax buildup" as you call it - didn`t get direct sunlight? And you say that a wash shampoo "caused" this "wax buildup?" And it just happened to be the side that didn`t get full-on sun that looked good.
I`m just curious if you may be referring to oxidation - which may or may not be aided in appearing by using a wax. (i.e. clogging the pores of the gelcoat)
I still don`t believe in grit guards.
