    Huck Surgical Towels?

Is anyone using these for glass cleaning?

I`ve been eyeing getting some to see how they work for the buffing part on glass. I am for ever fighting with linting or smears on glass. Using my MF just for glass towels.

    Maybe I`m expecting to much

I more than understand the process and take my time, but it always seems to have some smears on the glass no matter what.

Just as an FYI I use Stoners IG and Sprayway for cleaners, the later of the two is my go to

    Re: Huck Surgical Towels?

I have always used MF towels to do my glass. I am not familiar with surgical towels or what they look like or the material they are made of. The only way I can avoid smearing or streaking is to clean the glass in the shade and the windows need to be cold...If I can get that I have never had issues.

IMO the very best towels for cleaning glass. Huck towels and SprayWay aerosol has been a very efficient combination for me.

Been using them for a while now. I buy them by the dozen from my local janitorial supply house. An easy choice really, take a peek at what pro window cleaners use. This is the towel by a significant majority.

Don`t overstock initially. They are robust towels. A couple of dozen will last a looooong time.

There may be, but I am not aware of any. I think some may have been previously used and then cleaned and some are new. AFAIK the ones I`ve purchased are new.

A loooong time ago, a service station I worked at used those for windows. The guy that ran the station hated chamois skins because they always left a greasy film on the windshield that streaked the next time the wipers were used.

The waffle weave MF, (I think), kitchen towels at Wal-Mart seem to work pretty good and kind of remind me of the old huck towels we used.
They are only about $3 for a couple so it wouldn`t be expensive to try them.

I have never had a problem with MF towels looks clean and streak free to me.
Maybe I need a more powerful bifocal.

Maybe not a stronger one, just move your head up and down and get the right part of the lens on the subject matter.

I`ve used huck towels forever. I love them. If there are new, they should be washed to "break them in".

Funny how I just snuck those very Wal-Mart towels outside to do the windows on my van. The good news is, I can put them back and wifey doesn`t notice! I`d buy my own but then she`d take them anyway. Share and share alike.

    Re: Huck Surgical Towels?

I`ve used them from the start of my detailing career. I`ve tried every other towel out ther but continue to use the huck towels. I only use them on glass, sometimes on wheels when they get really worn and extremely soft.

So in short, they kick ass for glass, use them.

I`ve been using huck towels now for over 5 years and love them. All my customers love how there windows look and they never find any streaks. When your customers comment about their windows and that there is never any streaks means your doing something right so don`t change.

    Re: Huck Surgical Towels?

OK I finally got some huck towels and tried them out. I have to admit the first thing that I found is they are extremely absorbent, and work like a charm. I haven`t seen my windows look this clean, meaning streak free in a while, and they make short order of the work.

the price was $1.35 each so they are way affordable, I think this will now become my go to for window cleaning
