New Newb Question, This time PADS

Ok, I plan on getting a PC very soon, in like a couple a weeks. My next newbie question is what pads should i get and what do they exactly do. I see a bunch of choices on premium auto care but have no idea what they do. Basically i want to know what pad to use for each process, partically putting on wax and taking it off. Thanks.

If your getting a PC get the meg`s kit on PAC- it has the hook and loop backing plate and comes with three meg`s 6.5 inch pads - one red for cutting, a yellow for polishing and a creme color for wax/sealant application - should do you just fine!

Thanks, Just a couple more questions. Do the pads work for taking the application off, or just putting on? Also, about how long do the pads last?

You can get some bonnets that remove product but they dont really work. You could try just leaving a MF underneath the backing plate or soft pad and removing

The best is by hand with complete coverage

I`ve had my pads for a while now (the megs ones - the originals)been through many a washing - I don`t use the PC to take off product - I just do it by hand

Most of the products you see discussed here are very easy to remove....unless you apply too thickly...and if you do you soon learn not to.

I use to apply products only and then it`s easy to apply them thinly and evenly and to really work the polishes in so the shine is incredible. My white truck shines like no white I`ve ever seen off using the PC with a finish pad, #5 speed or higher and Poorboys Pro Polish and then his EX-P. Beautiful.
Dream big and be willing to do the work to get there.

Thanks, so I would use poorboys w/ carnuba first, then the EX? I thought it was the other way around.
