A Quick update on the Family Dollar Sprayers

Last May I posted about some pump up sprayers from Family Dollar. The thread is here.

Today, one of them started leaking at the mold seam on the bottom. A small pinhole spray when pressurized.
It has had S&W in it since last May and is not left pressurized. So far it is the only one, but??????

Keep us posted Charles. I`m curious to see if the others start to leak too. Thanks for the update.

I just spotted a small crease/leak on one of my unopened Collinite 845 bottles. So I suppose it could happen to any plastic bottle.

Re: A Quick update on the Family Dollar Sprayers

Since only the one has been a problem, I`m not ready to give up on them just yet.

As an aside, I did purchase another pump up sprayer today at Menard`s for $7. It won`t hold pressure and will be going back.
$2.50 or $7 doesn`t seem to be the deciding factor.
Other than the nuisance of the leak, $2.50 a season isn`t all that bad.

I just bought a 1 gallon grab-N-spray pump up sprayer and it works great, picked it up at Walmart for $9 been using it for self mixed clay lube(car wash and water). It is very convenient.

I did buy a replacement at Family Dollar. They are $3 this year.
FWIW, The one with Meguiar`s APC at 10:1 seems to get a little corrosion or residue around the spray nozzle. A couple of swipes with an old tooth brush once in awhile takes care of it. The S&W doesn`t seem to cause that problem.
They still seem like a handy thing to have a few of around.
