I have seen the ozone machines used, but have not used one myself. I read in a magazine recently that you could use a product with enzymes in it to "eat" away the bacteria that is causing the odors. From what I understand you would spray it on the carpet, underneath the carpet, and even inject some into seats if necessary. That might be something to look into if you can find the product. Good luck.

Have you found the source of the mildew yet? You can get rid of the smell temporarily, but it`s going to come back if you don`t kill the bacteria. You can pick up something at any hardware store to eliminate the mildew and then use a deodorizer, fogger or ozone machine for the odor.

I had a car last month where the odor was coming from the shifter box/console. They left the sunroof open and mold was growing in there.....Hopefully I got all of it but the smell hasn`t come back yet (knock on wood, fingers crossed etc.)

    Good Luck!!!!!

    Thanks EBPcivicsi, Ringo,

TOL has a ozone machine for $379 and I am contemplating purchasing it. Has anyone used this model...

It is priced right compared to its competitors, but if anyone knows of any other machines I am open to suggestion. I am making my decision tomorrow about whether to purchase.

    Thanks.

I don`t own one, but I have borrowed and rented them before. It seems that you cn usually get rid of odors by elimintating the source, so it seems over the top for me to purchase one.

I`m mobile but I would get one if I was in a fixed location.
