Question Proper MF for Waterless or Rinseless Wash?

When the type of MF towel used in a process is mentioned, I have noticed that a WW MF is sometimes used with Poorboy`s Spray & Wipe or DP 4-in-1 rinseless wash.
It seems to me that the terry type of MF would be the one to use rather than a WW style.
My WW MF`s don`t have anywhere near the nap that my terry MF`s have.
Isn`t that nap what traps the dirt and keeps it from marring the paint? Kind of like comparing a diaper or flannel cloth to a terry weave product.

I use Poorboy`s Deluxe Mega Towel (DMT) with S&W. The nap does pick up the dirt and hold it. I usually use one for wiping and another for drying. I`ve never experienced any marring from them either. Most of my DMT`s are stained from the dirt and grime but I`ll keep using them until Steve comes out with something new and improved. I only use the WW`s for drying after a regular wash.

I have grown fond of the MF that have one really plush side and one more close knit side. I forget the name, but I have some from both Poorboy and CG. The ones from Steve are orange with yellow edging. Those are my favorite towels right now for an S&W wipedown.
I still don`t believe in grit guards.

    Three for three so far.
I do use a really plush MF for both S&W and 4-in-1, but I can`t bring myself to use my Mega Plush towels for anything but removing polish, wax, sealant or QD`s. They even seem too nice for that. I can`t imagine getting them really dirty and stained. The fact that they are intended to be used that way still doesn`t make me comfortable doing it.

I think it really depends on the dirt you are tackling.
For thicker dirt i prefer a thick , absorbant, and plush nap. For windows I like a thin low pile nap and sometimes I will use waffle weaves for windows if there is a lot of dirt or sap. I don`t find waffle weaves more effective on dirty paint. For final buffing or light dust at shows, sometimes an absorbant soft low pile towel can be used for buffing better.

They clean up very well, especially if you pre-rinse them as soon as you`re done.

Poorboy`s Deluxe Mega Towel, nice and plush on one side for painted surfaces and a short nap(don`t tell Al Sharpton) on the other side for glass.
