    Razor cut in clear coat…..

Had a shop install some vinyl pinstripes along my factory rally stripes. I recently removed the pins and noticed one spot where they trimmed the stripe to match the oem rally stripes and you can clearly see a razor cut. My fingernail barely catches it. I checked the whole car this is the only spot they cut.

it’s about 1/8” long. I am really asking for options. This car is a 2022 and I don’t want to repaint the bumper for this cut. so it’s really these 2 options.

    1) just leave it
    2) you think it can be polished out?

Will cutting this down be worth it or would you just leave it be? How much better will it look if I had a shop cut it down?

here is a picture below. Sorry the car is dirty but you can see what I’m talking about.

Leave it alone unless you want to risk repainting your bumper. It`s likely to be really deep if a razor did it and paint on new cars is silly thin.

Lastly no one but you will notice it.

Yeah that’s exactly what I’m thinking. I was debating calling the shop and saying they need to fix it but I don’t even know what I’d ask them to do? Even if they said they would pay for a respray I don’t want to F with the factory finish.

I assume polishing it out would be more harm than good as well. I guess let it ride……..

I`d leave it. It probably won`t be the last hickey you get on the car.
