Probebly it`s haze from the compound and pad. Next step would be a less aggressive combo that clears up the haze. Have not used CG polishes but they are not so liked as there are other polishes that useally cut the same but leaves less haze. Do you have the whole range of CG polishes? If so test with the v36 or v38 and the light polishing pad. And see if it clears up the haze. You may be needed if it don`t do that use the v34 and a polishing pad. And after that the v38 and a finishing pad to get the high gloss you want.

What car is it you polishing on?

Yes, try a lighter polish to follow up. If that doesn`t touch the cloudiness, then a 10 year old Lexus with darker paint in southwest Florida on only the horizontal panels, it could be the beginning stages of clearcoat failure at this point, which would be something that you`re not able to fix outside of a respray. That would be worst case scenario so try some different polishes out but if nothing you use is touching the cloudiness, then it`s likely paint failure is occurring.

    Re: Need Some advice

What other polishes do you have? And what pads do you have?

I think that you have a too of aggressive combo that gives you this. Also it`s important to have enough of pads so you get a uniform results. And you have clean pads. Think that your Lexus paint is on the softer side. So when you use a very aggressive combo of compound and pad. You load up the pad fast with abraded clearcoat in them. So try with a less aggressive polish and polishing pad and see if you get the clearity in the finish. It may need a second step with a finishing polish and finishing pad to get you a high gloss. And also save as much clearcoat as possible as they are thin to begin with. Thinner they get the more you polishing it and especially if use a compound and cutting pad.

How many times have you polishing with the V32? And with what pad did you use? And how many passes per sections did you do?

If you’re a fan of that company, try one the many fill and hide products they offer. But in my opinion, clear failure.

If the "clouding" is near the middle of the panels, it very likely is clear failure, especially since it is the horizontal panels. Dark paint on Asian cars seems to suffer pretty badly. Add Florida to the mix and it`s game over.

It is near the middle of the panels. I did use V38 today and I will see if it holds up.
