What lighting do you guys use for inspection. Obviously set up in a garage. My “work space” sucks. Only 1.5car and it’s FULL. Lol
Clear coat meter. ANYTHING good for a hundred or so?

Scangrip. A little expensive, but worth every penny IMO. They have a Sunmatch model for around $100.00.

Isn`t the sunmatch a swirl finder light?
I think he is asking about clear coat readers like the deflesko for instance which I believe is the entry one for like $250 or so, unless I missed something.
Edit: nevermind he mentioned both

I have the lights from griots, which are made by maxxeon. They work very well and are much cheaper than scangrips. Griots sells the stand as well which multiple can be mounted on.

This is my setup, borrowed from this youtuber, who is on this forum. I am using different bulbs made by Phillips, which pushed me to the ~$150 mark. Works like a charm on any paint color.

Stupid question. Those bulbs. Can’t just put them in the sockets of the lights in the garage?
Those cordless griots look sweeet tho

Check out this link on the maxxeon lights by Mary b. Very good write-up and pictures showcasing the lights abilities.

Home Depot husky lights work great and don`t break the bank.

Rigid has a 1200lumen for $89 and it’s cordless. Rigid. Likely lifetime warranty too
Reading above the one poster said over 1000 lumens almost too bright anyway
