CD2 For The Win! Gotta love this stuff!

I`m uploading pictures of an engine detail that I did today for an article on my Legacy board. I figure I`m not going to spend the time on my engine since it is already clean and I won`t really get to enjoy the bling anyway, so I had him come over and take pictures while I worked on it. Anyway, I wanted to show off the engine cover real quick...

It`s in the shade because the pictures we took in the sun didn`t work out very well. I had a setting on the camera wrong and some of the pics aren`t so good. This is what CD2 will do for engine covers like this though. let that dry and spray it on again and it will be nearly that shiny when you get your car to the show. It is awesome stuff. I didn`t leave it that glossy. I buffed it down with a towel before I put it back on the engine. This is what it looks like after you wipe it down.

I`ll post the article over here too after I get it done. It is specifically for Legacy GT engine detailing, but they are the same principles I use on any engine.

I agree with holland_patrick. Anthony is terminally obsessed with covering every inch of black plastic he can see with CD2. Undressed black plastic is cowering in fear everywhere.

Don`t forget the hoses. I`ve got six cans of this stuff. Hoses aren`t safe either for awhile. :naughty Bring `em on!

Haha... you know, this thread brings up something funny. I`ve got a customer who is selling her Subaru (`00 Forester) and just bought a silver `04 Pilot today.... kinda funny to me since it`s almost the exact same situation you just had.

Oh, and incidentally I also detailed the Subie`s engine with CD2 today -- gotta love the stuff!

Really? You must spray it on much heavier than I. I think I`ve done 3-4 engine bays and still have some left in the can.

What about using NXT Insane Shine aerosal. They both dry the same with almsot the same look. When buffed it should even out nicely.

    I`ll give it a try.

is that nxt tire shine in aerosal or is this something made specifically for the engine.......i have tried the nxt insane shine on the engine it really gives an insane shine however i think its very thick, its kinda sticky, and it attracts dust and dirt but it will last a real long time........i still just use a diluted version of armor all or hyper dressing thats my favorite

Where do you guys get the CD2 Engine Detailer?? It`s been on my buy list for so long. I can`t find a source. I heard that inventory of CD2 were spotty due to CD2 going through a round of VOC compliancy.

lol You guys are funny. I love the pics. Nice and clean.
Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, "Where have I gone wrong?"
Then a voice says to me, "This is going to take more than one night."
