According to this chart - http://www.autopiaforums.com/Todd-He...lish-chart.jpg

Poorboy`s SSR1 is slightly less abrasive than Poorboy`s Polish with Carnauba. Would the SSR1 be ok to remove the AIO? I ask cause I like the idea of it being less abrasive plus the store has it on sale right now

I like SSR1 But it does contain *light* abrasives, whereas Polish w/Carn does not contain abrasives.

I`m still scratching my head on this. For ships and giggles, I went at some sanding marks with PP and a yellow BOSS pad. I was shocked. Still scratching my head.

Because I just had a donut!

Well, I was just curious to see how a NON-abrasive polish, coupled with a polishing pad (not compounding) would do against sanding marks. I mean, it`s not an aggressive combo like SSR3 and a heavy cut pad, so I wasn`t expecting *those* results! AND, on top of that, I think the sanding was done at either 1200 grit, or 1500.

I was pleasantly surprised, to say the least

Another question: I`ve read some here and elsewhere that suggests that Natty`s Red paste enhances metal flakes in red paint, is that correct? I saw some people suggesting that Natty`s Blue muted their flakes, so I am more interested in the Red if it would enhance the flakes.

Also, I assume I could layer Souveran and Natty`s Red as the topper?

MarkCollier- I dunno if you`d want to add Souveran to the mix if enhancing the metalflake is part of your goal. I wouldn`t top [some product] with [some other product] anyhow...I`d just use *one* product that does what I want.

Thanks, I`ll just get some Natty`s Red and compare look to Souveran and see which I like better.

Good idea, and Red is affordable to be able to do that. The other way around, less so.

Plus...hehe...Natty`s Red was endorsed at my wedding reception!

You could original Natty`s too ... there was a side by side test by an old member named Deanski .. he came to our Detail Weekend with his red car done half with Souvern and half with Natty`s .. only a couple people could guess which was which I like Liquid Natty`s Red for the most pop in flakes

Interesting that *anybody* could tell which was which!

I find Souveran gives varying/inconsistent results on metallics; it *slightly* seems to mute the ss lacquer metallic on my Jag (which I *LIKE* as it`s a metallic gray not a silver) but it does *not* mute the flake in b/c Audi silver.
