Mack - I`m not sure you would want to use PwC before using BH. I get that you want to remove existing product, but a polish with Carnauba (wax) in it may not let the BH do its job. I can send you some plain Professional Polish, if you want to PM me an address.

Also, I went back to watch that Mike P video again, and he makes it looks easy. When I used BH, I made several passes -at least 4-5, over the area I was working on.

Keep in mind, filling light swirls is one thing, but trying to cover up deeper swirls/light scratches is quite different.
BTW thanks for the offer that`s very kind of you. Going to try the SSR1 and then BH.

SSR1 works best between 4-5 .. Black Hole should be no higher than 2-3 (on your PC)

Eh, if only that were the case! The only times I`ve let others do any detailing for me I invariably had to fix (or, sigh... try to fix ) what they did. I`ve simply never had somebody else`s work satisfy me.

Well Mother Nature isn`t cooperating and it may be several days before I have a chance to try this out.

I am going to apply SSR1 by PC, then BH by PC. I will probably then apply a second layer of BH, again with the PC. You said I should keep the BH on, and apply EX over it then remove both.

I`m trying to decide if I want to top the BH with EX or Natty`s Liquid Red. So you said there are benefits to putting EX over BH and then removing both. Would there be ANY benefit to putting EX over BH and THEN putting the liquid Natty`s Red over both and removing all three at once?

Re: Advice on filling swirls, will this process work?

Weather cooperated for a couple of hours so I did the hood. SSR1 first at speed of 5. The microfiber towels squeaked when I wiped off the residue the surface was so clean. Then did BH at speed of 2 and topped with liquid Natty`s Red.

Wasn`t in full sun so I couldn`t see exactly what the surface looked like. Looked like there was a marginal improvement in the swirls with the SSR1, and then marginal filling with the BH. But it looks much slicker and glossier, which is what I was more interested in. Thanks for all the advice!

PS sorry no idea why the pic is upside down, if you click on the attached thumbnail it`s the right view.

BTW for the record, I definitely prefer the look of Liquid Natty`s Red on my car over Pinnacle Souveran Paste.

Now, I have seen in another thread where you said that Natty`s Red Paste has some filling abilities. Since I love LNR I want to get the Paste version just to try it. So if I were to layer the two, if I put the Paste on after the Liquid, would the liquid going on first interfere with whatever filling the Paste would do? Or does that not matter?

Again, I *really* love the look of LNR. And love how little of it you have to use.

I would use the paste version first, but it won`t make that much of a difference if you do it the other way .. you can always put another coat of LNR over the paste

Out of all our waxes , paste or liquid, LNR has the most pop for metal flake
