I believe the car they were compared on was a Red Lexus :inspector:

Looks better 12-24 hrs after application.
So look at it after, put it away for night, go buy new sunglasses, pull car out in sun next morning, don`t forget to wear sunglasses.

I ordered Liquid Natty`s Red and Meguiars #26. I suspect the #26 will darken the color a bit, and it seems Red will make the flakes stand out a bit more. Will have to do a comparison and see which look I like better.
Re: Advice on filling swirls, will this process work?
MackCollier- Hey, that *will* be an interesting comparison! Wonder if the M26 will mute the flake any..

To the OP, how bout a little investment on a PC machine? So those nasty swirls that everyone is talking bout will be a thing of the past and you can layer any LSP product you want and get that shine your looking for. Just my 2 cents........

I actually have an older Porter Cable just no pads for it, might be time to invest in some.
Re: Advice on filling swirls, will this process work?
Even if if you have no desire to correct the swirls and such, the PC will help you get the most benefit from Black Hole being worked into the paint (with finishing pad). EXP as well.

Do BH by machine, then whatever you cover it with by hand...........
Re: Advice on filling swirls, will this process work?
Ah, good point Ron. I can see how that would be beneficial
MackCollier, follow what Ron said :)
Re: Advice on filling swirls, will this process work?
No point in correcting marring until the wash/etc. regimen is sorted to where it won`t need done again for ages (and I don`t mean just a year).
Re: Advice on filling swirls, will this process work?
I got the SSR1 and Natty`s Red in today. Applied the SSR1 by hand and saw no improvement in the swirls. I did notice the surface of the paint was a bit smoother. I then applied the Black Hole by hand with EX-P sealant over it, and buffed both off, and no improvement to the swirls either. I guess I`m just not doing a good enough job working the product into the paint by hand.
So I`m assuming I just need to forget trying to do it by hand and need to get some pads to do the job with my Porter Cable.
Looking at the selection of Lake Country pads - Lake Country CCS Dual Action 5.5 Inch Foam Pads
Would these pads work to apply each?
SSR1 - White or Orange, which would be better?
Black Hole - Blue or Gold?
EX-P - Red
Natty`s Red or Souveran by hand.
Re: Advice on filling swirls, will this process work?
Also I preferred the look of the Natty`s Red over #26. The Red seemed glossier, and I loved how thin it was, didn`t take much, it should last a long time.
Re: Advice on filling swirls, will this process work?
I`m wondering if Rasky was right; maybe the swirls are too deep to make any real difference with filling. Any chance you can post a pic?
I very recently tried to cover up some swirls, light scratches myself. Two test spots. One was White Diamond (BH, but white) and the other was a light polish with Pro Polish on a black pad, followed by White Diamond. Both looked better than what I started with. The PP + WD side was better than the WD side. BUT, both still had too much for my liking. The PP/WD side just *might* be enough for this particular veh, but I want to see it in some good sun. We`ve been having overcast and rain lately :(
