PC Speed and Task to be accomplished?????

Ok, here we go. I`ve read a few posts on people using different techniques on the PC on what speed to use when polishing and waxing or even stripping (for lack of a better word)
So I`m curious what everyone does or thinks is the best PC speed to accomplish each task??

    Thanks
    B

Their is no best speed with a PC. It all depends on what your trying to accomplish. few fariables to consider such as the kind of pad being used, Type of product, extent of damage, & what your trying to achieve. For inperfections you might find high speeds (5 to 6) and many passes will work. Or you might find speed 4 and slow passes will accomplish the task. For general polishing or applying wax/sealant speed 2 & 3 work well. As you you your PC you will find what works and what doesn`t. You`ll find little techniques make a big difference. Patience and trail/Error are the key.

If you want to do any kind of serious defect correction you will need to use speed 6 and apply some pressure. You will also want to move the PC very slowly so it can do some work. I find a common mistake new users of a PC make is to move the PC to quickly. For polishing 4 or 5 works best. For applying LSP slower speeds are best because all your trying to do is get even coverage not work it in.

You should also check your PC out. You might have one of those special ones that have a birth defect and actually have a 5.5 setting like some people think they have.
