Meguiar`s M80 Discontinued. Recommendations for Replacement.

Alfisti- But the Ultimate Polish doesn`t have that Fresh-Paint-Safe protection that the M80 had, does it? I never thought it lasted all that long, but back in the day at least it was *something*. Always thought Meguiar`s should`ve offered it in some nonabrasive version as the seemingly gentle M80 wasn`t always gentle enough on fresh paint. (Oh man am I dating myself with this post..)

Heh he, M02 had some cut! Good chemical cleaners too, at least back in the day (I thought I heard that they reformulated it though).

Yeah, good ol M02 isn`t quite what it used to be. Smells like they dumped some M07 in it.

Still works great, even on a r/o though.

I`m with you on the M305. Probably the most direct "replacement" for M80.

I still have most of a gallon of M80, but I don`t think it`s any good anymore.

I`ll put it to use next week to see how it performs.

I used to LOVE M80.

I`d be utterly astounded if your M80 has gone bad. Mine dates to sometime in the mid-`90s IIRC, and it`s still fine.

Last time I used it, it was drying out really fast, and didn`t want to wipe off the paint.

I believe I bought this gallon in 02?

danlc95- Huh, that surprises me. Maybe diffs in storage or somesuch are to blame. Mine is absolutely older than that.

Yeah, mine has been in my musty, damp, gross basement! I`m going to try it again though. It would be awesome to have that back at my disposal again.

danlc95- Heh heh, to me it sounds like your storage conditions were actually better than mine with regard to how they`d affect the M80!

Shake SHAKE *SHAKE*...maybe even put some ball bearings/etc. in there to help get it all mixed up again...see what happens. Heh heh, easy for me to waste *your* time, huh? I know that *I* wouldn`t be thrilled about shaking up a jug of Product for ages
