If i read the directions the chemist gave me correctly...it`s intended for new cloth and made to keep it that way....using it on a seat or carpet that is already stained or soiled would take away from the testing results....but i appreciate the offer Koop

so who has a new seat that can try something out????

When I get a new car, the first thing that happens is that I Scotchguard the carpets and other applicable areas. Does it help? Who knows? I never eat in the car, although I will drink bottled water on long trips. Scotchguard is pretty well proven to help prevent stains from setting and I never had a problem with it staining fabric, so I guess it`s worth a few bucks for a can at your local Walmart. I am pretty sceptical that any more expensive products will work any better, but i`m always open to being wrong and learning something new.

my chemist said he put his patented UV protectant in the mixture ,which is supposed to help against fading...
I`d like to know how good it really is, but my seats are older...now that I`m thinking...I have a new van with cloth seats..hmmm....guess what I`m trying tomorrow...anyone for the rest of the bottle that can help in the testing...guess there`s no slobs among us..lol

My seats are three years old and while not outwardly dirty, they have never been cleaned. Thanks for the offer PB.

I use the same method in my car as fuzz after spilling orange juice all over the trunk due to a bad bagger.
