How do I get my tires to shine like this?

Looks incredibly wet, and I want it!

Use a high solvent based dressing that will not dry and kick up all over the car when you drive btw...look at the ground around the tires and you`ll see a yellow stain..guess where it came from :whistling: don`t step there you`ll go sliding
life is short ..do it while you can

I can tell you that alot depends on the tire. Look at how smooth the rubber is on that tire , thats why it shines so nice.
Tire`s now are trying to get fancy and put there logos and alot of like 2 dementional art on the sides of tires.
This is a rough surface and will cause not as nice of a shine. just my .02 anyhew.

A lot of "shiney" dressings will do that on that particular tire. Look at how smooth the sideall is with little ridges and writings.

Thats actually why my next tires will be the "Michellin Pilot Sport PS2`s".

Better performance than my Potenza S-03`s and will look better when dressed with any waterbased dressing.

I don`t think that you would have any problems getting the tires to look that way. I have achieved that look with BnB and with WG BDTG, I think the thing is how long will they stay that way.

Yep the smoothness of the tire has alot to do with it. A high solvent based dressing will get you that look. Just be sure to wipe off the excess. You don`t want it to go slinging all over your car like poorboy said.

I assume that stain is from a spray on dressing now that you mention it.

I use endurance extensively, I wonder if, after multiple coats, I could see similar results on a similar tire.

I bet a couple of coats of the high gloss version of Megs Endurance Tire Gel will get you pretty close to that look. Of course as everyone else has said a smooth sidewall contributes to the shine and unwiped dressings will likely sling all over the place.

Talking Re: How do I get my tires to shine like this?

Thier are a few things that factor into that shine and it seems like everyone else has covered it.Something I noticed is that the tires are brand spanking new, its definetly a solvent base rubber ,exterior dressing (we use something similar Blue magic) and if you shoot the blue magic first (blue magic actually takes a good 24hrs to dry)let stand for a hot sec then go over it w/ a interior/exterior using sponge type applicator(wipping of excess blue magic and applying int/ext at same time and let stand) w/ the drying effect of int/ext and deep wet look of solvent based Bluemagic All Season dessing you should have it.(or something close) and I also noticed today(it was a little chilly 56 degr.(spelling) the int/ext dressing and blue magic dried quickly and evenly so it looked real good.So maybe the temp has a little something to do w/ it staying so dark...stay up good luck and peace out.....OG

Re: How do I get my tires to shine like this?

Meguiar`s NXT Insane Shine Spray will give you that look in one application. If you don`t want to get it on the wheels, Meguiar`s High Endurance gives a real nice wet look, That`s what I use, I can post pictures of both (NXT and High Endurance) if you want.

The cure for that: Put the Black Magic on Before you go to bed. Dab up any wells formed on protruding letters, etc. Then let it sit all night. That`s what I did, I didn`t get any "sling" the next morning.
