    Pressure Washers

I am in the market for a pressure washer. I don`t need anything serious, and I want an electric model. I am going to CostCO to pickup one of those Karcher 1750 psi models. Is 1750 psi enough for cleaning wheels, and wheel wells, undercarriage, and engines? I have heard of a few failures with the Karcher units, but CostCO has an excellent return policy so I am not very worried.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

you`ll be fine with one of those types. I got an electric 1500psi for backup incase my pressure washer goes down. I`ve used it a few times, worked just fine.

Now don`t expect to get away with one of those if you plan on using it 6 days a week full time.

Should be sufficient for your needs! Take it easy in the engine bay with those!

I used one of those for a few years until the reservior froze and cracked last winter. (Bitterly cold winter... garage unheated)...

Worked fine for wheelwells & undercarriage. Too much pressure for engine bay, in my opinion. I just use all purpose cleaner, scrub brush, and rinse with a light stream of water for engine bays.

Nice, yea mine will not be used daily. I pressure wash my Engine bay once a year, if that.

    Re: Pressure Washers

I have a 1700psi electric, 1.5gpm output. I use it commercially, and it is usually enough. Would like more for undercarriage/wheel well work, and will probably get a better brand when I buy up.
