    Glass science

Has any used the Glass Science product? The products include glass scrub (Glass Polish), Rain clear (Rain-X type product) and a glass cleaner, which are available at Advance Auto parts or can be ordered on-line from Advance. The reason I am asking is that I am looking for a glass polish which is available locally, is inexpensive, can be monthly and would replace my current method of using menzerna IP. So, if you have used these products or read on another message board about these products let me.

    Re: Glass science

ive recently started using it and since for the past couple of weeks we had lots of rain it was perfect way to test. i didnt get the glass scrub or window cleaner so i cleaned with vinegar then alchohal and finally the product. i maintained it with regular washig and spray and gloss.

obviously this all depends on the angle of u`re windshield that will determine how well the rain drops run off the windshield. the product makes water bead nice and tight on the windshield. more than usual and water slides right off. during regular rain it hardly neccesary to use u`re wipers and during heavy rain wipers are needed. wipers slide over the glass super easy and clear it all from water.

durabilty, well, its all practically gone now. i havent had a chance to reaplly so i just use spray ans gloss after the wash. it gave me a total of 3 weeks. pretty good when comparable to rainX

The Glass Scrub is okay, nothing too special, but it does leave the glass very clean. For the $3.50 i paid for it, I can`t complain too much. I haven`t tried the window treatments, but glass scrub may be worth looking into if you have a dirty windshield.

    Re: Glass science

Glass scrub is the first dedicated glass polish that I`ve used so I can`t make any comparisons to other products, sorry.

I really like AIO, but AIO has not worked for me on glass. AIO does not cut through the water stains on glass as well as I would like.

What did you not like about the glass scrub or glass science products?

    Re: Glass science

The spray works ok. Nothing that blew me away, but not bad.
The polish worked on hard water spots that were less than a year old, not too "rough", but tough enough that a regular glass cleaner didn`t remove them. I haven`t used it other than that time, though. (On the other hand, PB`s BSR took care of them as well, with less buffing! )
