Super Hard Water Spots on Windows

I did a 96 MB E320 yesterday that the only way the owner knows how to clean it...Is run threw the beater washer, or spray off in the driveway and wipe with what ever towel is around....The paint was not a problem for me..that came out looking great....The windows didn`t....I got out most of the spots but some areas would not come out.....I started with clay while I washed the car......Then used a product that I got a janitorial supply designed to remove water spots.....this one has never failed me...(it did)...Used the vinegar and water solution with no change....The only thing that seemed to work was PB Pro-polish by hand.....

    Question?

Could I have used the PB PP with a rotary and a polishing pad to remove them all?

It worked like a charm on the paint, I was concerned about marring the windows finish.

Lastly customer was over the top happy with the finish and even the windows.....Goes to show you some can`t see what a detailer can.

    Thanks for the help!

Not sure about the rotary. I have used PB PP with a PC set at a speed of 5 and a polishing pad on my 90 Nissan 240 SX window with no marring and the window came out super clear.

I have also used the pc on my windows with PP, worked great. A word of warning though, if you have tinted windows, make sure you keep the pc moving very quickly. Do not stay in one spot for more than a second. I was working it a little too long in one area, I guess it generated enough heat that I saw little tiny bubbles in the tint. I guess the heat caused the tint to separate from the window a little.

Thanks I would not think that the PC would generate enough heat to cut the spots

Glass is much harder than paint. If PP with a rotary didn`t marr the paint it won`t marr glass. You can and probably will have to be much more aggressive on glass than paint.

Thanks allot I had the same thoughts but you know how I feel....working on the car and then have something go wrong with the glass and screw it up

I have a 3 inch pad attachment for my rotary that I can use for this its the same one that I use on head lights
