Mineral sprits, goo gone are two ways.....use a heat gun or hair dryer to soften it up then use one of the two and that will lift the gum.... Good luck

If that don`t work......try some peanut butter...it removed gum from my kids hair...I`ve also had luck with using ice and freezing the gum.....D.

    Re: Ahhh Gum

We used a product that froze the gum when I worked maintainance at a department store. I don`t remember what it was, but compressed air in those keyboard cleaner cans seems to work in a similar way. Freezing is definitely the best way I have found to remove gum from carpet without hurting the carpet itself.

    Re: Ahhh Gum

i normaly don`t like to chime in on others conversation, but i have a solution to your gum problem. WD-40 i`ve used it on gum many of times, i have four daughters and have taken gum out from there hair to there elephant bottom jeans that drag across the ground as they walk through parks, to school and through out the neigborhood. i sprayed a little WD-40 on the gum in there hair, the gum dissolved instantly and it was a great lube to drag the comb through there hair with ease no snags or tangles lol. i`ve used it on tar that was on the carpet in my car, and i suggested a coworker try it on her car to get the glue of the exterior of her car. she used duct tape to hold the plastic on her door where her window used to be, she tried other product`s and had no luck and used the wd-40. not only did the glue come off but she bragged about the shine on her car after using it to remove the glue.

i know it sounds crazy but i`ve used it for sooo many different use`s and been totaly happy with it. a matter of fact WD-40 had some type of contest to see who could come up with 2,000 ways to use their product.

    Re: Ahhh Gum

They should have had a contest to see if anyone knew what WD-40 stood for. lol I know the WD part is Water Displacement, but I have no idea why it is 40. Kinda like Peparation H. What happened to Preparation A - G?

    Re: Ahhh Gum

The 40 stands for the 40th formula the company tried.
here`s a link to the products history WD-40 history.

Kinda off topic/ kinda on... just thought it was neat

    Re: Ahhh Gum

Turn a compressed air can upside down and then spray the gum, that should freeze the crap out of it and you can hit it with a hammer to shatter it. The sticky part of chewing gum that`s left over is rubber, get it cold enough and it becomes brittle and flaky.
