Is it ok to use a pressure washer to help wash a car? I know it would have to be on a low setting.... but will that still wreck the paint?
Thanks and sorry if this question is pretty N00bie. =)

BE VERY CAREFUL! If the car has had paintwork, I would say definitely dont try it. Keep it on a very low setting, and really keep an eye on the car. I watched a dude pressure wash paint off his front bumper at one of my friend`s houses.

Its safe, but you also need common sense. Don`t put on a tip that you can write in concrete with and try to get bugs off.
Why do you want to use a pressure washer on your car?
Oh, and :welcome to the City
Don`t it always seem to go, you don`t know what you`ve got til it`s gone?WAC06/04/40 ~ 07/16/07
i would keep it handy but i would not use it for every single wash, mainly for the reason that its not needed. keep on a low setting and maintain a certain distance from the car. make sure to have a wide tip.
I`ve had great success with using a pressure washer to wash my car. If you remember to keep it on a wide angle setting and don`t get right up close to the paint you`ll be fine. I found that when I used it with a well waxed car it took most of the dirt off without any soap, this is not to say you shouldn`t lather up the car, but it keeps your buckets clear and sudsy. I probably wouldn`t use it on a car that didn`t have a layer of protection on it, I probably removed some washing, but 4 coats of #16 is pretty resilient.

:yeah I use a pressure washer and never had any problems. Every do-it-yourself car wash uses pressurized water.
I use it one this Ferrari once a week. Put it to work and make some dough!!!
