Finally got rid of water spots on glass

I had some very old and very hard water spots on my windows that I finally got rid of by using Mothers power polish by hand with mf pad. I tried the usual clay, vinegar, steel wool but nothing worked until this. The steel wool actually scratched the glass even though I was assured that it wouldn`t, so I had scratched up water spots on one window. I did scrub very hard on that one spot with my finger on the steel wool and that is probably why it scratched. Anyway, Mothers power polish did it for me, so you may want to give it a try if nothing else works for you.

What also works wonders on water spots on windows is wheel acid. soak the window with glass cleaner. Take a window rag spray some wheel acid on it and rub it on the window the more elbow grease the better. Try not to let it dry up on the window, you may need to apply more glass cleaner. After you feel that you have got the spots out wipe it all off. Then clean the windows 2 times with 2 different rags to get the acid fully off.

P.S Please don`t try this unless you have confidence in your capabilities. Also don`t do this in the sun.

SSR 2.5 with a cutting pad worked wonders for me.
    Only took 10 minutes.

Re: Finally got rid of water spots on glass

I had some bad water spotting from not fully drying and a daily barrage from the sun. (Of course not MY car.)

I tried steel wool and it scratched. Full strength vinegar did nothing. The spots laughed at the clay bar.

What ended up doing an AWESOME job was AIO via PC on 6 with a Megs burgandy cut pad.

This is my go to process for water spots from now on.

Just follow the directions on the bottle. I rub it in with a cotton/terry towel/applicator. Then buff out with a fresh towel. I usually follow up on the side/back windows with either RainX or AIO.
