Has anybody used the gunk citrus degreaser/detailer?
I`ve used their standard degreaser with success, but I wonder how the engine compartment looks after using this two-step product? How does it compare to CD-2 detailer?

Do not use it. The "citrus" smell lingers for weeks and it`s actually a rather unpleasant smell. I noticed no increase in cleaning ability either.
Good to know that. What do you prefer, then, for the detail step (ie. after degreasing)? I`ve heard positive comments on CD2 and even WD-40. :wha
I`ve used CD2 and its awesome. Only problem I had was that after use, I found some of the silicone in it found its way on the paint so I had to rewash the car. I would recommend using it before you wash to avoid any problems.
I`ve never used or heard of using WD40. Sounds like a really bad idea if you ask me considering it is simply just oil and not to mention highly flamable. So if it doesn`t burst into :flamed and destroy your vehicle, it will probably just make a huge mess!

I never do anything after the degreasing. The car I just relegated to a backup, a 1997 Ford Aspire :headbang, has 194,000 miles on it and the engine looks like it did when I bought it. And it spent 190,000 of those miles in Buffalo. I`ve seen some people actually use Armor All to good effect. :eek So long as you`re careful not to get it near any belts.
I never would have thunk it, but read this thread.Originally Posted by TheSopranos16
Not sure its something I would try, but maybe CD2 is just WD-40 in a different can? :dunno
