Who has the best PC deal?

I am getting ready to purchase a PC and some supplies next week. I remember seeing that someone had a 7424 with a free counterweight and pad as well. Does anyone remember who that was? Anybody else know who has the best deal on one? I can buy a 7336 locally for $99.00 at Lowes, is that a better deal and buy a pad kit from someone?

    Thanks for the help..........

You will not find a better deal than that online. The cheapest price I have seen is at www.coastaltool.com for about $120. It comes with the backing plate and a 6" counterweight. You`ll spend that extra 20 bucks to get those for the 7336 anyway, so its worth it. The only way to get a good discount on a PC is to go through a compnay that buys so much from Porter Cable that they get volume pricing on everything they buy. Detail supply stores online don`t sell a million dollars worth of Porter Cable tools per year and many of them sell the PC at their cost and can`t discount them much. As much as I like supporting our sponsors, the PC is something that you can find a little better price on through a tool store. They aren`t high profit items for our sponsors anyway, so I doubt they feel too bad when you don`t buy from them. Definitely come back to them to get your pads and polishes though. Those are things that no part store is going to sell very much of.

Sorry, it was just me...I found it. What`s the difference or pros/cons of buying the 7424 or the 7336, just wondering which is the prefered tool. Sorry JaxNorth, not meaning to hijack thread...although this info may help you as well.

Autogeek has the PC, backing plate, pads and a few other things. They are offering a 10% discount and free shipping for a limited time. Not sure what the price is or if it can be beat, but I thought I would mention it anyway.

Amazon.com had the 7424 for 114.95 the other day, free shipping. It`s back to 119.95 now but periodically for 114.00. Care to take there amazon.com visa, deduct another $30.00. Nice deal.

Re: Who has the best PC deal?

What about this........I can get a 7336 for 99.00 locally, plus premium auto car has a pad kit for 50.00 bucks which includes the backing plate, and a beginers supply of pads, versus autogeeks 186.00 on sale combo...what do you think? Is the starter pad kit any good? Or are there better pads that I should start off with?

I am going to be purchasing mostly Poor Boys stuff for supplies...

I would get whatever saves you the most money. Most likely you will order more pads in the future, so find the deal that saves the most and provides the most. YOu can`t beat $99 dollars for the PC, but maybe you should check out THIS
I haven`t found cheaper pads anywhere. Good deal IMO
